Happy Halloween 2018

The excitement in the air in room 13 was evident today... had some Halloween fun as we used candy to think about math.  These graphing activities were followed by using the data from the graph to answer addition, subtraction, and greater than/less than questions.  Hope you had a great night!

And one more picture from home!

Pumpkin field trip

We have a wonderful time enjoying the fresh air and each other's company while we were at the farm.  If you didn't know, we visited this farm in the spring and planted pumpkins in the very field that we picked from on this trip - we hope you enjoy the pictures of our great day.

Fantastic Ants

Hi everyone...as I am sure you have heard by now we are delving into the amazing study of ants!  We are reading, writing, thinking, drawing, listening, viewing and even calculating ideas about ants.
we began with our stories about ants - what we already knew

we continue our learning process with shared research

we read ideas from books, then take notes

Then we share our ideas with the class

we learn so much from each other

and we have our own ants to observe

Who knows what we will learn next! Did you know ants have 2 stomachs?  Ask your scientist why...
