Rock Museum Trip!

Wow!
We had a great time - a beautiful day for a drive out to Hillsboro.  The Rice NW Museum has almost every kind of rock and mineral one can imagine - and some you may not! Thanks to all of the parents who drove and helped out.  Enjoy the pictures (ps, sorry they took so long...there were some problems with iCloud!) see if you can identify the Oregon state mineral, rock, and gemstone!

Artist in Residence!

Hi everyone!
We continue to learn more about rocks - their sizes, shapes (attributes) in addition to how we use rocks in the world around us.  The young geologists are getting very excited about their field trip next week!
This week we spent time each day learning about African Dance as part of our PTA funded Artist in residence.  We had a great time - and the kids learned so much! Here is the video:
