We are engineers and meteorologists!

HI folks!
We have been very busy here at school...we spent 6 weeks, one hour a week, learning more about engineering with LEGOs! We learned so much we invented our own ball movers on the last day...

Over the past few weeks, in the midst of wild and crazy weather, we have begun our study of the factors that make weather!  We have learned about the properties of air, atmosphere, heat and water.  Here is one experiment where we tested the strength of air...

We have created out own thermometers, barometers and anemometers!  Ask your young scientist what they have learned about weather! Have a great break!

Happy D. Seuss Day

We had a fun day with a short read-a-thon to celebrate the life of this amazing contributor to children's literature - thank you Dr. Seuss!

Nutrition unit draw to a close!

We worked so hard over the past few months learning more about how to be healthy - eating good food, taking care of our teeth, and how to keep germs out of our bodies.  We were able to share these learnings with kindergarten students - it was fantastic time where students became teachers!

Soon after, our parents and families visited to see our projects - we created games, models, books, posters and even fortune teller quiz shows to help others learn about health!  We also made butter and enjoyed homemade applesauce.

How to be healthy!

Thanks for all the support from home - and healthy living to all!
