The grasslands of the world

Hi everyone!
This week we explored the savannah and prairie biomes.  Here is what they think you should know about this biome:
"The grasslands get a medium amount of rainfall - between 20-50 inches a year" Eva
"Did you know that there are prairies and savannah grasslands - and they have very different animals" Jack
"There are different types of grasslands in the world" Henry
"The grasslands of Africa are called the savannah - this is where elephants live." Tatum
"The fastest, tallest, and largest land animals live on the savannah." Annabelle
"The most important thing you need to know about the grasslands is that in the US in the 1920's, farmers tore up the prairie to make farms, and this took a long time to fix."Lila
"Once the US grasslands turned to dust because farmers pulled out the grass and the ground blew away." Brooklynn
"On the grasslands, the grass holds the soil together." Alex
"The grasslands are miles of plain grass." Hazel

Here are some pictures of our projects we created to teach others about the grasslands!
