We had another busy day. During math, we talked about quick strategies for figuring out +9 or -9. The mathematicians decided that if you see a problem such as 4+9=____
you can think of 4+10=14, then take away 1. They decided this was faster than counting on...good thinking!
Our fairy tale today was Jack and the Beanstalk...the students wrote about the story, then they created pop-up scenes from the story. Here are some pictures:
